It was only when I moved into a people managing role that I fully noticed how often individuals own beliefs placed a limit on realising their full potential.
High-performing, talented achievers talked of inner criticism and their submerged challenges with anxiety, procrastination and self-doubt.
Individuals talked of their high stress or burnout from work, and their desire for coping mechanisms and balance.
I too faced these challenges. The cycle of goal setting, pressure to perform and self-critique from nearly 15 years in sales roles fuelled an ongoing desire to reach higher benchmarks year on year.
Upon the recommendation of a trusted colleague, I sought out coaching. My coach helped me devise strategies to focus on intrinsic motivation for long term well-being even amid the competitive drive for success. This was the beginning of my own coaching journey, inspiring me to qualify as a coach myself.
The most rewarding moments in my career have been observing team members take control by developing the habits and behaviours that set them up for success.
Typically my clients start with one session to ensure we’re a good fit. After that, we can discuss a package of several sessions or just take it a session at a time.
